THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HEALTH LITERACY AND EFFICACY SELF IN PERIMENOPAUSAL WOMEN
Abstract
Perimenopause occurs several years before menopause, the symptoms experienced by women when entering perimenopause include feeling hot, especially the face and neck, experiencing insomnia, and menstrual cycle disorders, vaginal dryness. low health literacy has an adverse effect on society. According to WHO, health literacy is a person’s ability to be able to understand, usethe information obtained and maintain good health. while self-efficacy as a person’s belief or ability to problems affect their lives. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. the instrument in this study used the HLS-EU-SQ10 questionnaire (Health Literacy Survey Questionnaire Short Form), and Self-Efficacy to be analyzed using SPSS with the Chi-Square Test. The results of chi-square analysis obtained a p-value of 0.057 (p <0.05) and the Expected Count value was not less than 5, which means that there is a relationship between health literacy and self-efficacy in perimenopausal women at the Rapak Mahang Tenggarong Health Center. Most of the perimenopausal women at the Rapak Mahang Health Center are in the interactive health literacy category, where individuals believe in health information but have no desire to apply it. which relieves the symptoms.
